Review : Mix Plater (Pak Mat Western)

Additional disclaimer : I was not paid by any party to review this food. This is my honest review

Assalamualaikum w.b.t & Hi,

It's been quite a while since my last post. Actually, before this I commited to post an entry per day. However, it might be hard sometimes because I am quite busy. But, I will try to post and will not let my blog become obsolete like before. Hahahahaha

Okay here I am. In this entry, I would like to review one of the famous stalls in Penang which is Pak Mat Western. Whoever from Penang absolutely will know this stall (you might call restaurant also). As usual, I will review base on a few items highlighted

1) Place

As per mentioned in the title, I will review food from Pak Mat Western stall.  It is located in Bukit Mertajam and easy to access. To go there, you may waze using its full name.

2) Facility

The space there quite limited for parking. Last week, I go there on Friday night. To be honest, I arrived there around 8.25pm and motorcycle parking already full there. So, I need to go to Mamak restaurant to park there which is next to the stall. I am not sure is it crowded like this on the other day or not. But my suggestion, if you wanna go there, better you arrive there around 8 o'clock or else you might queue up and need to wait for the tables.

3) Menu

To be honest, I do not view the menu list because I already had a target what to eat which is my main purpose to go there. But logically, the name also written as western which mean it will serve western food (easiest assumption hahahaha). Maybe, there also got local food also. I am not sure. Sigh. Sorry for this

4) Operating time

5.00pm - 12.00am

5) Selected Menu

You see the picture above? Looks attractive and tasty right. Its name is Mix plater. In that menu, they put grilled chicken, grilled lamb, sausage, coleslaw, meat ball, roasted bread, and sauces. It is very delicious and I am totally satisfied with the dish. The cost is only RM25.40 which is reasonable.

6) Speciality

This one make me shocked. Seriously. When I arrived there, I see many people which already turn me down. Why? I assume that it will take much time for me to get the food. Normal assumption. But, while talking to my friends around 10 to 15 minutes, the food already arrived at my table. Whoa. Totally efficient.

7) Suggestion to readers

Those who never tried, you should try once in your life. Those who already tried, you already known the quality of food there.

8) Overall rating
4.8/5.0 (I will prefer to give 5.0 if more spacious parking available)

Still No Post??

Assalamualaikum w.b.t & Hi,

For book category, still no post ya? Hahahahha. I am so sorry. Actually, all my books are at my hometown. So, whenever I go back to my hometown, I will write reviews regarding my book that I have read.

Actually, I am not a bibliophile. But sometimes, I feel like to read. That's why I put book as one of my categories for my entry. Actually, those who love to read is very good. Seriously. You must be grateful if one of your hobbies is reading book.

Why book is so important? Actually book is not important. I might say it once again. BOOK IS NOT IMPORTANT. This is an honest statement from me. Why is it not important? The important is the contents inside the book, not the book itself.

Many things you may learn through reading like new knowledge, tips, motivation etc. Book is not necessary to be physically touch but can be softcopy also. However, certain people prefer to have a book which can be physically touch.

Sometimes, our source of reading can be entry, blog, research paper etc. Even a comic is also good and might be able to give vital lessons to ourselves. Am I dreaming? No. Later, I will give list of comics that are good to be read especially for students from primary school until college.

Stay tune ya for my review on books

Review : Strength of Yamaha R25 (Blue-2017) - Part 1

Additional disclaimer : I was not paid by any party and this is my honest review after 2 years using this bike

Assalamualaikum w.b.t & Hi,

In this entry, I would like to review my Yamaha R25. This is based on my own opinion and my honest review. Maybe the items that I will include in my review will be contradicted to other people. I will review this bike in term of what I like (the strength-Part 1) and what I dislike (the weakness-Part 2). Hopefully you will enjoy for this entry.

Part 1 : Strength

1. Multifunctional meter

Good job Yamaha and congratulation for making such a good meter display. I am totally like with its meter. Here is the items available on meter :
      • Clock - this is totally important since I may know the current time without looking at the watch. I might use this vital clock also when I am late to go to work hahaha.
      • Gear indicator - this one also important since I might know which gear currently I am running. Certain motorcycle do not have this item which is a weakness (for me).
      • Speed indicator - this is normal only. For R25, it is in digital form
      • RPM indicator - this one is in analog form. If it is in digital form, it might be more attractive. For R25, the indicator value is up to 15000 RPM
      • Heat & Petrol indicator - Both item are important but they are quite usual actually.
      • Gear shifting light - this one also quite special. The purpose of this light is to prevent the rider from over RPM. It is like a signal for the rider to up shift the gear. However,  every user can set which RPM the user prefer the light to give signal. Like mine, I set at 11000 RPM.
      • Trip distance - it is a distance that has been traveled by the rider but can be set to 0 back. There will be Trip 1 and Trip 2. It is up to the rider to set for what. For me, Trip 1 is for the chain lube alert. It means when I have applied chain lube, I will set trip 1 to 0. After my bike has traveled up to 150km, then I will lube my chain again and the cycle continuous. It same goes to the Trip 2. This one I use for petrol tracking mileage. Which mean I want to know if full tank, how many km my bike can travel (I will write a separate entry regarding full tank R25 and how many km it can travel)
      • Change engine oil indicator - after 1000km (first service), there will be a signal with indicator of "OIL" which mean we need to change engine oil. For the subsequent service, every 5000 the signal will come out.
      • kilometer / liter indicator - this one also quite nice which we will know how many km our bike will travel with 1 liter of petrol. This value keeps changing depends on our throttle control.
2. Center light

This one is so special and exclusive since this light only available at Yamaha R25. The mentol also can be changed to other color. For mine, I am just using the stock color only like normal head light.

3. Design

It looks sporty and high aesthetic value. Undeniable.

4. Handle bar with clip on.

This one is also good because it is adjustable. For standard stock, when you ride, your riding position will be like touring. However, you can change you riding position to sporty by lowering your handle. This is base on the rider preference. For me, stock riding style is just enough since I use it for daily ride and every week around 600km mileage.

5. Performance

This is subjective. For me, the power delivery is just nice to me. Not too much and not too little. So, those who are newbies and wanna try a big bike, this R25 is just nice and suitable for you. Top speed? This one also might be different for every people. Some people get 180++ and some people get 190++. Mine? Hmmmmm..... Secret....Hahahahha. If I mentioned here, my beloved wife will be nagging to me..hehehe

Actually, there are still many strengths that equipped to R25 especially in term of handling. So, those who want to feel this bike, just buy. Don't worry. This bike is good (everybody will claim their bike is good hahaha). For Part 2, I will focus on items that I dislike regarding this R25. Stay tune yaa

Review : Nasi Kandar at Teluk Kumbar

Additional disclaimer : I was not paid by any party to do this review and all the items included are honest from me

Assalamualaikum w.b.t & Hi,

Yesterday, I went to one of Nasi Kandar restaurant in Teluk Kumbar, Penang. Actually, I am quite rarely eat Nasi Kandar. Usually, I'm more to Malay food. But, Nasi Kandar is good and delicious also depends on the restaurant. So here is the items for my review

1) Place
The selected restaurant is Nasi Kandar Ar Rahman Restaurant. The accessibility of that restaurant is easy and you may use waze by typing full name of the restaurant. It is located in Teluk Kumbar, Penang.

2) Facility
Here quite many tables provided. So no worries for the eating place. In term of hygiene, it is acceptable. Parking is also just nice since the restaurant is not on the main road.

3) Menu
For this item, there is nothing special. Typical mamak restaurant only. There, I took rice with a few pieces of meat, honey chicken, boiled-fried egg and fried cabbage and it costed me about RM11 only. The price is quite cheap and reasonable. However, sorry to say, my taste is not suitable with the food there. I don't know what to say. The food is quite oily. But, maybe for other people it might be delicious and tasty.

4) Suggestion for reader
For this part is quite hard for me. Maybe you can try and make your own judgement and review. Every people cannot be same. For me, it is not tasty but for other people maybe good right?

5) Overall rating
2.5/5

Bad Luck Day

Assalamualaikum w.b.t and Hi,

When you see the picture for this entry, what do you think? For me, I will be shocked. This happened to me last week. At first, when I rode my motorcycle from factory, I felt a bit difference. That time I was thinking that maybe my tire did not have enough pressure.

But, I still continuing my "journey" to go back home. For your info, from my factory to my house is about 35km for one way. Quite a long distance. After I arrived at my home, then I realized a screw had penetrated through my tire. Such a bad day I felt that time

Then, I decided to go to the nearest and most preference motorcycle workshop to check. That tire I just changed around 7 months ago. It costed me about RM240 include balancing and installation. That time I was thinking my money will fly away since my tire still in a good condition. Hahahahahah

After I arrived at the workshop, I asked the foreman to check. Then, he took out the screw and put a little bubble to check whether any leaking or not. Alhamdulillah my tire still in a good condition since the screw was not fully penetrate through my it. One more thing, before this, I already put a tire sealant inside my tire to prevent puncture. I forget already how much I bought from that shop. However, you may checked via shopee base on my search: https://shopee.com.my/Emergency-Tyre-Sealant-Puncture-Repair-Tayar-Pancit-i.6033242.1801913112. (This is not an advertisement and I was not paid to put the link here. I just put here for your reference and maybe you wanna try it for your own good. )

One thing that that I'm keep thinking is how come the screw can penetrate through my tire at the side area instead of middle area? Is it during cornering? hmmmmmmmmmmmm 🙇🙇🙇

RON 95 vs RON 97

Additional Disclaimer : this entry is based on the result that I tested on my R25. The result might be vary with the other user.

Note : Please help to read and understand about internal combustion engine & engine knocking since I will not explain these terms.

Assalamualaikum w.b.t & Hi,

Today I will be writing an entry regarding the petrol in Malaysia. This is quite hot and controversial topic since every people have different opinion. To be specified, I am testing the usage of the RON95 and RON97 on my Yamaha R25.

As per today, the current price of petrol for RON 95 is RM1.98 per liter whereas RON 97 is RM2.28 per liter

Before I proceed more deeper, I will explain roughly on the RON. RON stands for Research Octane Number which indicates as measurement of the resistance towards compression before it ignites. In another term, higher RON will have higher resistance against compression.

Then how about lower RON? Here is the issue. Petrol with lower RON might have higher tendency to engine knocking which eventually will cause harm to engine and reduce the performance.

In my review (I would say), I will highlight on the following items :

1) Price

In Malaysia, the price of petrol is inconsistent. So, it's quite hard to make judgement on this item in more details. However, I will make an assumption that the price of petrol is constant in one month as per price mentioned above.

My R25, generally, needs around 10 liters per full tank (left 1 bar and still not blanking). Every week, I might need around 2 times full tank due to high mileage travel. In another term, my R25 needs 80 liters per month.

Calculation:

2) Mileage

Before this, I heard that RON 97 has better mileage compare to RON 95. To be honest, I am quite disappointed with this statement where it does not apply on my motorcycle. I would say I cannot feel the difference.

3) Engine performance

This item cured my sadness (need to pay more) over the RON 97. During long distance riding, I can feel the smoothness of engine. But, after 1 month using RON97, I change back to RON 95 and I feel my engine become quite rough.

4) Top speed

This item is the item that most of the riders prefer on their bikes. Also I get a sad result. Slightly same.

5) Suggestion to readers
  • I think better you test which RON is better on your motorcycle
  • For me, I would prefer RON95.
  • Sometimes if you want to feel engine smoothness, you may use RON97 (might help to protect engine also)

That's all what I feel on my bike base on RON95 and RON97. One thing we need to know, there is no right and wrong in using which RON as long as you pay using your own money.

>>Now I am testing RON100<<

Review : Tower Cheezy Burger at BKE Corner

Extra disclaimer : I was not paid by the respective food court. This is my my honest review

Assalamualaikum w.b.t & Hi,

Last month I go to one of the roadside food courts in Penang to try a burger. I go there with my colleagues. Even I am quite late to post, but it doesn't matter (just start to active blogging this week only). Here we go for my review :

1) Place
BKE corner is the destination that has been selected. It is located in Kubang Semang, Bukit Mertajam, Penang. Accessibility of the food court is very easy. You may use waze to go there by typing "BKE corner" only.

2)Facility
Parking is quite spacious there. You can park car or motorcycle easily. There also provide surau for man and woman. So, you don't need to worry praying time. Besides, there also many tables and chairs which mean you don't need to wait for tables.

3)Menu
This one is the most attractive part. You may choose variety of food (western or local) and drink. You go there and you will be like 'rambang mata' (don't know what to choose due to plenty of attractive food)

4)Operating time
Everday (5.00pm - 11.30pm)

5)Selected menu
I have selected the Tower Cheezy burger as my order. The burger is gigantic (can be eaten by 2 people) and delicious. The ingredients inside the burger also nice and very tasty. The main ingredients are thick beef patty, chicken grill and fried chicken. What I can say is every bite of the burger make me happy and satisfied. The price also reasonable which is RM25 only.

6)Offer
This one also make me shocked. Inside their facebook page, they posted that if you taste the food and it is not tasty, you don't need to pay (applicable for western food only). At the stall, there also got a banner which stated that if you are not satisfy with the food or your food is cold during you receive the food, you may ask to change the dish or order. This is kind of warranty for me hahahha. Another thing is during Friday and Saturday, all customers will be entertained by live band.

7)Suggestion to readers
I suggest to all readers to try it out and you will be satisfied.

8)Overall rating
4.5/5.0 (I will prefer to give 5.0 if the food court is under the building instead of canopy. However, this is not a big deal since there got fans. So, you don't need to worry about feeling hot and sweating during eating)

Donation is Needed!!!!

Extra Disclaimer : I was not pay or instructed by any party to post entry regarding this matter

Maybe, RM10 per month also doesn't matter as long as we are sincere. You can do auto debit every month or you want to transfer via online banking or bank in. All is up to you

2 Principles

Assalamualaikum w.b.t & Hi,

How are you ? Hopefully, totally fine. Today, I would like to share 2 crucial principles in our life. The principles that I will be conveying in this entry is the fundamental or base as we want to make self-improvement related to dreams, wills and so on.

The 1st principle is the usage of both side of brain (left and right). For instance, many people assume that an engineer (can be other profession also) only needs to optimize the usage of left brain (related to calculation etc) instead of right brain (writings, facts, arts etc). For me, this assumption is not fully correct. Even you are an engineer, you also need to optimize the power in yourself with the usage of both side of brain. In the other word, an engineer need to balance in the middle between right and left brain usage. One of the tips to train yourself is to perform a task related to calculation on a blank paper**.

The 2nd principle is humble. The longer time we are in a certain field, the more humble we will be. Sometimes, this one is too hard to be practiced. For example, as an engineer, it doesn't mean we cannot accept any opinion from subordinates (technicians, operators) right?

It doesn't matter what field we are involving, but please make sure we nurture these 2 principles in our heart & brain. For your information, we only use 10% of our brain ability. Thus, optimize the usage of the brain and always being humble. Do you think a professor can't be corrected by his/her students whenever he/she did an unintentionally mistake? We are only human being and always make mistake.

**calculation will use right brain, an imaginary line during writing on blank paper will use left brain

Myself

Assalamualaikum w.b.t & Hi,

My blog was created in 2013. But, at that time was just for the sake of creating it. But, now I am thinking why not I start to post entry in my blog whenever I am free (After 6 years).

In 2019, I am 26 years old. It is  2 years already I have involved myself in semiconductor industry. Literally, my current factory is my second factory. My first factory is electronic basis. I am working as an engineer. Sounds pretty good right? But many challenges actually.

I am married already since 2018. Currently, my wife and I are in a long distance relationship. To be honest, it's quite hard. More energy, more money spending, and less time spending together. In sya Allah, she will be transferred to another branch (she works at Bank) in a few months later.

I also don't know what else to write. Anything you want to know or comment about me or anything else, you may contact me via email (adafi93@gmail.com) or drop a comment on any post or through "communicate with me" channel at the right side of this blog

YZF-R25 : GET ONE!!!!!

Disclaimer: this is the actual experience by me (I buy last 2 years ago)

Assalamualaikum w.b.t & Hi,

It’s been quite late for me to write the entry regarding an exceptional motorcycle: YZF-R25 since it was launched a few years ago in Malaysia. Never mind, I will proceed.

I will divide into 4 categories for you all to understand

1) Survey

This part is quite tired for someone like me who try to look for the best offer (those who doesn’t care about money, you can directly go to your preference shop and apply loan for it or buy cash).  For me, I had surveyed a few motorcycle shops in Alor Setar, Kedah.
Different shop will offer different things. Like me, I choose one shop with these conditions:
a)      Motorcycle : YZF-R25 Blue (2017)
b)      Downpayment : RM7000
c)       Installment : RM472 x 48 months (4 years)
d)      Free gift : Movistar open face helmet (add on RM50 and this is ridiculous), raincoat, disc lock
e)      Loan : shop loan
My advise : better you choose shop that offer more free gifts  (basic free gift : Fullface helmet, riding glove, riding jacket) so that you no need to buy basic free gift.

2)  Loan approval

The shop only asks me to provide photocopy of identity card & license. The documents needed depend on shop or loan institution (you may refer to motorcycle shop).  I need to wait around 2 weeks to get motorcycle.

3)  Get motorcycle

When you get motorcycle, there might be a few things you need to consider
a)      Condition motorcycle
b)      Manual book
c)       Free gift
d)      Basic advise from shop
e)      Maintenance can be done there?

Point (e) is very important. Like me, at first they said to me that they can do. When I want to do first service, suddenly they said they don’t have proper equipment. I am totally disappointed. At last, I did myself which is more saver (when motorcycle under warranty, better proceed with shop)

4)  Instalment

This one is the least motivation to do hahaha. But remember, once you choose to buy, you need to pay. This one can be either auto debit or transfer on your own. For me, I transfer the money on my own. Make sure, you don’t have any lapse in payment even 1 month for your own good

So, it’s up to you whether you want to buy or not. Don’t follow other people.
